Former White House Doctor Says Biden’s Mental Health Is a “National Security” Issue

(RepublicanJournal.org) – On June 6, President Biden joined other world leaders at commemorations to mark the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landings — and, unsurprisingly, his behavior fueled concerns that he isn’t mentally fit to be in office. Worries about Biden’s mental competence date back to before he was even elected, but a huge majority of Americans are now worried about his condition. Now one of the country’s leading newspapers is reporting fears that his failing health is becoming a national security issue.

Major News Outlet Reports Concerns

On June 4, the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) ran a story about President Biden and how his behavior is seriously worrying government insiders. The newspaper reported that, at a January meeting to discuss military aid for Ukraine, Biden was performing well below the level congressional leaders expected. He spoke so quietly that his words were hard to hear. He relied on notes to make even simple points. His comments were broken up by long pauses. Sometimes he closed his eyes for so long that others at the meeting feared he’d mentally left the room. No less than five people “familiar with the meeting” spoke to the WSJ about their concerns.

Then, in February, Biden had a personal meeting with House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA). People “familiar” with that meeting said Biden dismissed a threat to major energy projects as just a study. In fact, it was a policy recently passed by his administration. Worried, Johnson told others it seems the president can’t even remember what laws he’s signed.

Then, on June 6, Biden joined other world leaders and US military veterans to commemorate the D-Day landings. Arriving at the ceremony, he got out of his limo and stood staring blankly for a long moment. Later, he couldn’t seem to work out if he should be sitting or standing; he lowered himself to an awkward half-sitting position, then seemed to look around to see if there was a chair behind him.

Previous Concerns

Even before the Normandy event, Representative Ronny Jackson (R-TX), a former White House physician during the Bush, Obama, and Trump administrations, was worried that Biden’s decline was putting the country in danger. On June 5, he told Fox News the WSJ article backed up what he’s been saying for a while — “he’s not fit to be the commander-in-chief.”

Jackson noted that while many of the 45 people who spoke to the WSJ about the president’s mental state were Republicans, there were Democrats among them too. He said this could be a sign that the Dems’ left wing is making the first moves of a plan to force Biden out. The far left have their own reasons for wanting the president gone, but the fact is most Americans now believe he’s too old to do the job.
