Pedro Henrique Dies on Stage at Only 30 Years Old

(RepublicanJournal.org) – Gospel singer Pedro Henrique recently collapsed on stage while performing at a private venue in Brazil. The event, which also played live across social media, stunned viewers who would later learn they’d witnessed the man’s death as it occurred. The singer, a Brazilian native and resident of Guarulhos, São Paulo, was only 30 years old.

TMZ released footage from the December 13 evening concert, which shared Henrique’s final moments. Henrique was singing at an event for influencer Lôise Abreu at Feira de Santana, Bahia. In the footage, the gospel singer appears to be fine one moment, not missing a soulful note of the song “Vai Ser Tão Lindo,” and then he shifts the microphone toward the audience for a moment. As he returns the mic to resume singing, he suddenly drops to the floor, onto his back, in obvious distress. The venue reportedly rushed him to a nearby medical clinic, but he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Please be advised that the footage of the event, which is present on multiple platforms, may be disturbing for some viewers.

Todah Music, the singer’s record label, posted about the tragic loss on Instagram the day after Henrique’s death. It noted that there’s no explanation for some of the difficulties we face, but Henrique was now among the voices in Heaven’s choir. It added that the singer’s legacy would continue on through his wife, Suilan Barreto; two-month-old baby girl, Zoe; and the people he reached through his gospel music. The label confirmed to media outlets that Henrique died of a massive heart attack.

Billboard Brazil reported that Henrique’s wake and burial would occur in Porto Seguro, Bahia, the Brazilian city where the singer was born. His newest single, a medley of “Levanta,” “Não Fica Assim,” and “Descendência (Ao Vivo)” was released on December 14.
