(RepublicanJournal.org) – This year has been a big one for celebrity losses so far. Many famed actresses, actors, producers, and singers have passed away due to old age or illness. Sadly, there’s another death to report, that of 30-year-old Mike Heslin.
On Sunday, July 7, Heslin’s husband, Scotty Dynamo, announced in a heartfelt Instagram post that the actor had died after a week-long hospital stay, just a few weeks shy of his birthday. He said the cause of death was a cardiac event but that he “was young, in perfect health, and the doctors have no explanation for what happened.” Dynamo paid a loving tribute to his husband, who he says “was brilliant, selfless, talented, and a real-life guardian angel.”
Despite his young age, Heslin was known for his various acting roles. Most notably, he appeared in two episodes of “Lioness” as Polo alongside Nicole Kidman and Zoe Saldana. The series is a Paramount+ exclusive and was recently renewed for a second season.
Heslin also played in the television movie, “The Holiday Proposal Plan,” a romantic comedy that was released in 2023. The actor played Jonathan Ferris, a minor role in a film about two ex-lovers trying to get their friends engaged. Heslin also appeared in other television series, including “Younger,” “I Love You . . . But I Lied,” and “House Sitting,” and created the series “The Influencers.” That wasn’t his first foray into producing, either. Heslin won several awards for his short film titled “Happy Halloween,” including for best first-time director.
According to NBC News, Heslin was on vacation with friends at the time he fell ill and later died. They did not reveal where they were, but Heslin reportedly posted pictures of Las Vegas on his social media in the weeks preceding his death. A GoFundMe has been set up to help cover funeral costs.
