Jill Biden’s “Work Husband” Has a Checkered Past

(RepublicanJournal.org) – First Lady Jill Biden depends heavily on senior advisor Anthony Bernal to help her stay on track with her busy schedule. The aide still apparently has time to add drama to her office, with allegations recently surfacing that he has a checkered past and continues to make other staff members uncomfortable with his inappropriate behavior. Even more disturbing, the advisor’s “work marriage” with the first lady could be all that’s standing between him and the unemployment line.

The New York Post first reported on the relationship in February 2024, noting that Bernal’s “overbearing” personality often clashes with other staff members. It refers to the observations of New York Times reporter Katie Rogers, who writes about Jill Biden and the senior aide in her recent release, “American Woman: The Transformation of the Modern First Lady, from Hillary Clinton to Jill Biden.” The author claims Bernal holds far more power than a simple advisor should and describes him as “impatient” and “demanding.”

More recent accusations paint Bernal as downright abusive. Fox News shares allegations that he has created a culture of bullying and harassment in the workplace. His alleged go-to method of attack is questioning others’ sexuality — and in the case of men, also speculating on the size of their genitalia. Bernal, himself, is openly gay, and apparently, he feels the need to insist others are, as well, regardless of their personal feelings on the matter.

The accounts of his abuse go as far back as before Joe Biden became president, and there are allegedly a dozen people who claim to have witnessed the inappropriate behavior. They want to see the senior advisor answer for all he has said and done.

White House Chief of Staff Jeff Zients defended Bernal’s character, stating that the administration had “full confidence” in him. He alleged that the attacks were “unfounded” and insisted that all sources pointing to inappropriate behavior have remained unnamed.
