(RepublicanJournal.org) – Nickelodeon actor Drake Bell is due to appear in a TV show about the dark side of kids’ TP –- and he’s alleging that he was abused by actor and dialogue coach Brian Peck. Bell was just 15 at the time he says the offense happened. In a disturbing twist, Peck was convicted of abusing a child 20 years ago.

Investigative TV show Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids’ TV recently released a new teaser trailer, which features an appearance by Bell. In the clip, he doesn’t speak, but it’s understood the show will reveal that Bell, best known as the 15-year-old star of Nickelodeon’s Drake and Josh, was abused by Peck. At the time, Peck worked for the children’s entertainment network as an actor and dialogue coach, helping young stars to talk naturally while performing under the pressure of filming.

Among the Nickelodeon shows Bell appeared on was The Amanda Show between 1999 and 2002, while Peck was coaching on it. Shortly after, in August 2003, Peck was arrested on child sex abuse charges. He later pleaded no contest to charges of performing a lewd act and oral copulation with a minor. In total, he was convicted on eight counts, including abuse by means of anesthesia or a controlled substance. Now Bell is set to reveal that he was the anonymous victim Peck was convicted of abusing.

Peck was jailed for 16 months after his conviction, as well as being registered as a sex offender and banned from direct contact with children. However, in 2015, a British tabloid revealed that, despite the ban, he was still employed in Hollywood –- and still working around children. That discovery prompted child protection groups to call for tougher laws to prevent predators like Peck from having access to children. Now, Bell’s story will add more pressure to those demands.
