Trump Supporter Commits Suicide After January 6th Conviction

Trump Ally DEAD – Another Suicide Reported

(RepublicanJournal.org) – Since the Capitol in Washington, DC events on January 6, 2021, there has been much fallout across the country. Recently, Pennsylvania native Mark Aungst took his own life after the court convicted him of federal charges for entering the building without a permit on that fateful day. He was a tradesman who left behind three siblings and his mother and daughter.

The deceased reportedly cooperated with police on the scene, did not destroy any property, and was non-violent throughout the incident. He was arrested after the Capitol events, when a fellow protester turned him in to the FBI.

Aungst was facing up to a $5,000 fine and 6 months in prison for his crimes. Authorities found the inmate dead in his cell on July 20, and the coroner ruled the cause of death as suicide. Tragically, he was not the first to die in such a manner. In March, Matthew Perna, also of Pennsylvania, killed himself while awaiting his sentencing. He pleaded guilty before the court in December 2021 to charges related to the “attempted insurrection.”

Reports show that Aungst believed his life was destroyed in the wake of the riot and subsequent charges against him.

As of the beginning of June, over 800 people have been charged with crimes from January 6 at the Capitol, and 235 pleaded guilty to misdemeanors.
