Liberal Commentator Says Trump Should Be Prosecuted Like a Mob Boss
(RepublicanJournal.org) – Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s husband was recently the victim of a vicious attack. A man allegedly broke into the couple’s home and demanded to confront the Speaker before striking her husband, Paul Pelosi, with a hammer. Glenn Kirschner, a former federal prosecutor, asserted that Donald Trump should face charges.

Kirschner, much like White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, drew a connection between the January 6 attack on the Capitol in 2021 and the recent assault on the Speaker’s husband. Some critics believe Trump incited the January 6 violence and then failed to stop it. Kirschner declared the former president was like a “mob boss,” claiming he would keep recruiting “foot soldiers” unless he was prosecuted.
The former prosecutor mentioned the “Trump-inspired violence” didn’t catch him by surprise, claiming the recent attack on Pelosi and the January 6 riot are what the former president’s conduct, behavior, and language are meant to accomplish. Kirschner noted that like a mob boss, Trump handed down orders and didn’t get involved himself.
The connection some, like Kirschner, are drawing between the recent attack on Pelosi’s husband and the riot on the Capitol is a phrase perpetrators said at both scenes. On January 6, 2021, Trump supporters reportedly asked, “Where is Nancy?” David DePape, the suspect who allegedly attacked Mr. Pelosi, also reportedly asked the question before hitting the Speaker’s husband with a hammer.
