Trump Says Nancy Pelosi Is Beating Warren Buffett in the Stock Market
(RepublicanJournal.org) – House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has recently been spearheading a legislative effort to ban many forms of securities trading by lawmakers and other government officials. However, many commentators are speculating she’s not really trying to get the bill over the line, including former President Donald Trump.
During a campaign event in Mesa, Arizona, on Sunday, October 9, Trump took aim at Pelosi over her husband Paul Pelosi’s stock trading history. He quipped that the speaker “did better than Warren Buffett” through her spouse’s trades.
The Pelosis have attracted a lot of attention over trades Paul made around the time of important Congressional votes. For example, he offloaded millions of dollars worth of chipmaker Nvidia’s stock shortly before the House voted on a bill related to the industry earlier this year.

Buffett, the chairman and CEO of mammoth holding company Berkshire Hathaway, is considered one of the best investors of his generation and is also one of the wealthiest individuals on the planet. Trump and Buffett have a history; Buffett supported Hillary Clinton in her run for the presidency against Trump in 2016 and was critical of Trump during speeches. Trump accused Buffett of carrying losses forward to offset federal tax liability, an allegation the investor rejected.
