Hillary Clinton Probe Expected – This Senator Is Behind It
(RepublicanJournal.org) – Since the FBI raid on the Mar-a-Lago, Florida home of former President Donald Trump on August 8, much debate has centered around whether the operation was justified. A large number of Republicans and conservative voters believe Trump is the victim of a political attack. One such commentator is Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA), who compared the raid to the softer approach the Bureau used with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Earlier this month, the Republican legislator wrote to FBI Director Chris Wray to highlight this comparison and ask him questions about it. The ranking member on the Senate Judiciary Committee noted Clinton’s prolonged failure to cooperate with an FBI probe into her use of private email servers for the storage of classified information. Despite this failure, he stated federal agents had not subjected the controversial Democrat to an operation like what we saw in Florida earlier this month.

This isn’t the first time Grassley has expressed concerns about the FBI failing to properly investigate potential wrongdoing by Clinton. In October 2016, he wrote to then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch about what he viewed as the inadequate investigation of Clinton’s management of classified data.
