Kamala Harris Claims She’s Ready to Be President

(RepublicanJournal.org) – Vice President Kamala Harris has struggled to gain traction among many US voters, and yet she stands next in line for the position of commander in chief if anything should happen to President Joe Biden. His age has been a major concern for a growing number of Americans, with fears that the current US leader might not survive another term. No worries; Harris claims she’s ready to be president “if necessary.”

Harris joined “Face the Nation with Margaret Brennan” on September 10 to discuss foreign policy and other political hot topics, which included Biden’s reelection campaign. Brennan stated Harris’ current age, 58, adding that Biden would be 86 at the end of the next term. The host also quoted numerous politicians who’ve spoken out against a Harris presidency and asked for the second in command’s response to all the negative buzz.

“This is not new,” Harris replied, brushing off the Right’s criticisms. She defended her personal track record, noting that she was the first female district attorney elected to serve San Francisco, as well as the first female attorney general, and she moved from there to the US Senate and eventually to the vice presidency. She alleged that political opponents are afraid of her successes with Biden and the possibility that he and Harris might actually win another term.

Brennan shifted the discussion back to Biden’s age, noting that a recent poll showed even two-thirds of Democrats feel Biden is too old to serve another four years. Harris said that while she was prepared to take over if she needed to, she was confident the president was capable of continuing to serve the people if they voted him back into office. She reminded the host that she works with the commander in chief on a daily basis, listing his administration’s bold moves to improve infrastructure, create new jobs, and place caps on Medicare prescriptions.

Harris did, however, fail to acknowledge the actual odds that Biden might succumb to his age before the next term ends. The CDC lists the average life expectancy for a male in the United States at around 73.5 years. Considering how far Biden has already exceeded that number, he could already be living on borrowed time.
