Kamala Harris Asked Racial Question About Her Husband
(RepublicanJournal.org) – Vice President Kamala Harris isn’t always eloquent with words, and her public speeches typically highlight her inability to think on her feet. A recent appearance exemplified the issue when the VP wanted to send federal aid for victims of Hurricane Ian first to low-income people and communities of color. This idea got a lot of pushback, with one congresswoman challenging the progressive leader by asking if her husband, who is white, was “worth less” because of his race.
During the Democratic National Committee’s Women’s Leadership Forum on Friday, September 30, Harris told Priyanka Chopra Jonas she hoped the government would address the storm’s devastation by “giving resources based on equity.” In other words, she wanted to prioritize low-income and minority communities.
In response, House Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) took to Twitter to ask Harris if her husband is less worthy because of his white skin:
.@KamalaHarris hurricanes do not target people based on the color of their skin.
Hurricanes do not discriminate.
And neither should the federal government giving aid to people suffering from the devastation of Hurricane Ian.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) also called Harris out for her comment during an appearance on Fox News’ “Hannity”:

Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Administrator Deanne Criswell reassured Americans on Sunday, October 2 that despite Harris’ comments, the federal aid would go toward everyone affected by the historic storm. Thankfully, private nonprofits, well-meaning citizens, and the government are all working together to rebuild these communities after the intense hurricane.
