Hunter Biden Baby Mama To Get Some of His Paintings

(RepublicanJournal.org) – President Biden’s son has been in the news for a plea bargain that will allow him to avoid jail time on federal tax evasion charges, but his other legal issues have also been moving along. He’s just settled a child support case, and the mother of his child has won an unusual award. Instead of cash, she’s getting some of his controversial artworks.

An Arkansas court announced on June 29 that it had reached a settlement in a long-running paternity case between Hunter Biden and Lunden Alexis Roberts. The two had a brief relationship in 2017, and as a result Roberts gave birth to a daughter, Navy Joan, in August 2018. In May 2019 Hunter married his second wife, and around the same time, Roberts filed a paternity suit to get child support for her baby. Hunter initially denied being the father, but that argument collapsed when DNA testing proved that he was. He agreed to pay child support — but then went back to court to try to reduce the payments. In turn, Roberts filed her own lawsuit to gain the right to give her daughter the Biden surname.

The case turned into a bitter struggle between the pair, and Biden has faced fierce criticism from Roberts’s lawyers, who accused him of hiding the details of his finances and failing to provide documents the court had requested. Now, newly released court filings show the two parties finally reached a deal on June 16. The First Son will pay child support until his daughter’s 18th birthday, and he’ll help set up a college fund for her. Biden will also give the child some of his paintings, which attracted attention after selling for suspiciously high prices. In return, Roberts has dropped her suit to use the Biden name. Considering the reputation that name is attracting, this might be the best outcome for the girl.
